Tournament on Sunday!

This Sunday, November 7th, 2010 from 10:45am-4pm, our school will be competing in a culminating tournament at Glover Field in Pelham, NY. Below there are directions and things to bring for the long day. Elementary team uniforms are in route and should be handed out on Friday. In case of any delays, the students will receive them the day of the tournament and wear them over their outfit. Middle school players must wear their school gym shirt and their choice of comfortable, yet appropriate pants. The games will be played on grass fields so the use of cleats will be permitted, but sneakers will suffice. Let motivate and help The Holliswood School bring home some hardware!

Directions:
By Car (there is plenty of parking by Glover Field)

Northbound Directions:
Hutchinson River Parkway north to Exit 9 (Wolf's Lane). Turn right onto Wolf's Lane, proceed to traffic light and make a right onto Colonial Avenue (becomes Sandford Boulevard). Immediately past the next traffic light (at the entrance to the Parkway), make a left into the Glover Field complex, marked by a sign. Immediately after entering complex, stay to the left, and proceed up onto the service road. Take service road to end, passing the Parkway on the left and playing fields on the right. The field is to the right, behind the bleachers and surrounded by a running track.

by Mass Transit
Take a Metro-North New Haven Line train to Pelham train station. Trains depart from Grand Central Terminal and from 125th Street and Park Avenue above ground train station. Once at Pelham station, Pelham rec and Pelham parents will be shuttling teams to the field.

What to Bring
